….researchers, scientists, doctors, visionaries who have contributed
………..….to technology in a way that help to heal people, to
……….……………..make lives easier.  People helping
……………………………. people.  Peace.

I offer this poem/mosaic to my late husband Don Langdon who was instrumental in designing medical ultrasound systems. Most of the images are of sections of an egg-shaped sculpture made of ancient integrated circuit board on University Ave. in Palo Alto, California..  There’s a photo of a sculpture at De Anza college. I made this collage about 5 years after he died. The process of doing this helped me to work through some of the grief and loss that comes around especially near the anniversary of his death and holidays/family gatherings.

“I [have seen] the kinds of actions that must have inspired the words of one of my favorite Indian sayings: ‘Any persons whom you have ever met, even if you have just exchanged a glance on a bus, have become part of your being and consequently you are, in some sense, responsible for them. You carry them in your heart.”

– Richard Rohr, “Grace in Action”

“A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labor of others, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am receiving.”

–Albert Einstein

“There is nothing in this world that hasn’t nourished our growth in one way or another.”

-Amma
