Something about the wildness of this flower really appealed to me. So free. Each hair did not have to be in place. Happy. Beautiful. Radiant. Free to be itself. Having faith.

When I saw this nasturtium leaf , I immediately saw these drops of water as us, pilgrims, on our journey towards the One. It reminded me of Sr. Macrina Wiederkehr’s words: “The sacred space before the feast of Christmas is our womb time. It is a time of pregnancy and gestation.” The leaf is the sacred space and also the womb. These drops look very pregnant to me.
I am reminded of Rumi’s words “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.”
