“Never have I found the limits of the photographic potential. Every horizon, upon being reached, reveals another beckoning in the distance. Always, I am on the threshold.”—W. Eugene Smith
if a drop of water can reflect the world
how it must be so in you..
the infinite mapped to a drop
the universe mapped into you
all things are possible…
I made this into a greeting card called “Imagine”, in honor of my father’s birthday.
“The poetry of the earth is never dead.”
“After all, I don’t see why I am always asking for private, individual, selfish miracles when every year there are miracles like white dogwood.”
~Anne Morrow Lindbergh
“Let the waters swarm with living creatures.”
-Bible, Genesis, the fifth day of creation
“The fifth day of the creation represents the process evolving. “Waters” refers to the unexpressed capacities of the mind–your potentialities. The living creatures are the dynamic thoughts in the mind. “Swarming” indicates the suppportive activity of Mind, the creative proliferation of multitudes of thoughts and ideas…Waters can also be a metaphor for energy…Everything is energy moving at different frequencies, and that energy always gets synchronized with a frequency of like kind…This is the swarming process.
-Eric Butterworth, “The Creative Life”
sometimes an idea
acts like a magnet
holding a thought may attract other like ideas
people unknowingly may gift you what you need
sparks upon sparks
“I do believe it is possible to create, even without writing a word or painting a picture, by simply molding one’s inner life.”
