May you find plenty of time
time to relax, each breath renewing
time to dream, dream if you want
and time to just be
and time to just be
I made this into a greeting card in honor of my brother, Rick, one year.

May you find plenty of time
time to relax, each breath renewing
time to dream, dream if you want
and time to just be
and time to just be
I made this into a greeting card in honor of my brother, Rick, one year.
Imagine
if a drop of water can reflect the world
how it must be so in you..
the infinite mapped to a drop
the universe mapped into you
all things are possible…
I made this into a greeting card called “Imagine”, in honor of my father’s birthday.
“Each morning we awaken to the light and the invitation to a new day in the world of time; each night we surrender to the dark to be taken to play in the world of dreams where time is no more. At birth we were awakened and emerged to become visible in the world. At death we will surrender again to the dark to become invisible. Awakening and surrender: they frame each day and each life; between them the journey where anything can happen, the beauty and the frailty.”
—John O’Donohue, “Beauty, the Invisible Embrace”

“There is a Boddhisattva, whose name is Avalokitesvara, in Vietnamese we call her Quan The Âm, in Chinese, Quan Yin. It means: “Listening deeply to the sound of the cries of the world”. And listening deeply is the practice of mindfulness. But if you are full of pain, full of anxiety, full of projections, and especially full of prejudices, full of ideas and notions, it may be very difficult for you to practice deep listening. You are too full. And that is why to practice in order for you to have space, to have freedom within, to have some joy within is very important for deep listening. Avalokitesvara, Quan Yin, she practices deep listening to herself, and to the world, outside. She practices touching with her ears.”
—Thich Nhat Hanh
the frame of the present moment
is free from worries,
a place where your heart is undivided
and free to live life fully in all its richness and glory
a place of stillness, as the mind
stops running into the past and future
a place of growing wisdom,
as mindfulness and breath awareness is practiced
a place of healing,
a final destination for your burdens of the past
it is your kingdom, queendom,
a place where the powers of
love, peace, beauty and understanding reign
a place where you can breathe with ease and be nourished
it is a gift for you every moment

A Light Collecting point…
I stood under this amazing oak tree at San Damino Retreat in Danville, California. I made this into a blank card.
These were my stream of thoughts:
This is my first post on Flickr, a photo-sharing website. My friend, Christine, had told me about it when I bought my first digital camera in 2008. At first, I joined it so that I could look at my friend’s photos and share mine with her. Then I noticed when I added tags to my photo, other people found me. I hadn’t been social on the web until then. Until my children were older, I had not used my computer much since my previous life as an engineer. When I stopped working outside the home, the world wide web and internet were not widely used. When I resumed being on a computer, I kind of felt like Rip Van Winkle who had been asleep for a long time, and when he awoke found the world a much different place. So, slowly, I am trying to catch up with the world’s technological advances.
